This is an original porcelain advertising sign (c. 1920s–30s) produced for the Paw Paw Bait Company of Paw Paw, Michigan, makers of the legendary Lucky Lures fishing line. It is not a reproduction or doctored piece, but a period original that has been professionally restored with working neon while preserving its authentic porcelain face and graphics.

The Paw Paw Bait Company
America’s premier fishing tackle manufacturers during the early 20th century, and their bold Lucky Lures signage was a familiar sight in sporting goods stores across the Midwest. Very few of these signs survive today, and even fewer in this large format with integrated neon illumination, making it an exceptional rarity in both fishing memorabilia and neon Americana.
The design features a vivid game fish in mid-strike with the slogan “Go For Lucky Lures – The Best Baits in Any Tackle Box”. It reflects the Golden Age of neon advertising, when vibrant illuminated signs became the hallmark of American commerce.
Large, intact porcelain neon examples from regional bait and tackle makers are virtually unseen on the market. This sign represents a true crossover collectible, appealing to both sporting memorabilia enthusiasts and neon Americana collectors.
